My July

Ling Ling's growling woke me up at 5 o'clock this morning b/c she heard Dad woke up for work. Since the layoff, this week was his first week back to work.. for 4 days only, and then he's off again for the next 3 weeks. -___- I had a hard time going back to bed, it didn't make it any better when the birds were chirping loudly, insects beeping... I closed the window and soon after I heard my heart beating. I don't know how long it took me to doze back to sleep again.. I woke up at 11am. I'm afraid that I will be waking up later and later into the summer.

It's going to be a challenge for me this month. My mom will be going to Vancouver next week.. and Mike will be driving all my siblings out to Alberta next week for the Calgary stampede and other activities. I choose not to go for many reasons. I always dreamt of going on a trip with my sibs.. this could'of been the perfect opportunity. So, I will need to look after my pets.. my grandma.. (or she'll look after me.. heehee).. and I will be doing all the chores all by myself.. it's going to be a headache I tell ya. Do I need to cook? I hope only dinner.. kekeke.. I don't know if grandma will eat what I make.. I can already imagine.. eating dim sum every day.. *ick* My sibs will most likely meet up with my mom in Vancouver to see my gong-gong.. and will be back in the beginning of Aug.

my week

June 18- Yan's 23rd Bday! I gave mom $ to buy groceries for hot pot dinner; we had a good time @ home. We had crabs & all the basics. I got her a pretty strap dress with a colourful floral pattern.

June 20- Engagement Dinner! Finally, the Yiu & Lee families joined together @ Emerald for dinner. Everyone was very polite and the adults chatted.. I was so glad b/c I was scared about the language barrier. I liked how Emo suggested that the each member of the family should sit beside with a member of the other family.. that way, everyone chatted and got to know each other more. After dinner, the kids and I went to Execs to play pool.. then we went to Two Twos for karaoke/food/drinks.. until 3am... it must of been the latest I've stayed out.. in a long time. I had lots of fun. =) It was my sibs and my first time going out for K.. =)

June 21- Andrew, G-ma and I went to Sam Woo for dim sum.. the food wasn't as good as Emerald's. We went to watch Year 1.. funny movie. Then for Father's day dinner.. we went to Wasabi in Scarbo.

This week, I only worked for half a day.. boo.. Today is the last day of school! Summer has officially started!

We heard sad news.. my mom's dad is in the hospital because he just had a surgery.. and they found out he had stones in his body.. i don't know the details.. My grandpa is 82 years old this year.. and all my aunts and uncles are very worried. My mom may.. and I hope she does.. go to Vancouver to see him. I hope he'll be get better soon.

This is my mom's kiwi plant. Do u see the little kiwis popping out? We've had this for maybe 6 years now.. but no kiwis yet..


This is my mom's flower plant. I don't know what it's called, but supposedly, it attracts hummingbirds. But I haven't seen one yet.. maybe soon I hope!
